Senior School

Welcome to the Senior School

At East Loddon P-12 College the Senior School consist of students from Y9-12. Students have a range of options in regards to subject selections. At Y9&10 students are able to study core subjects such as, English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Advance, Physical Education, Health and Sport. At Y9 students also have the option of studying electives ranging from Arts, Technology, Food, German and Outdoor Education. At Y10 the options increase further, in addition students can study introductory units of VCE Vocational Major Unit 1, VCE Specialist Mathematics plus other VCE options (subjects depending on preferences). Students also have the option to study a VET subject at Charlton Trade Training Centre, online or through a School Based Apprenticeship.

At Y10 students participate in a week long work experience program utilizing local businesses and contacts. Students also have the option of progressing to a structured work placement (one day a week style work placement). At Y11 students participate in a week long work experience program in Melbourne, gaining the city experience and an opportunity to work in a range of industries.

At Y11 & 12 the options for subjects and pathways broaden even further with a full range of VCE, VCE Vocational Major and VET options on offer for students based on their individual needs and interests. We aim to prioritise and cater for students. An emphasise is placed on their pre requisites for course selections, interests and career pathways. We are proud to have students progress to university, TAFE, traineeships, apprenticeships and employment. Students are encourage and supported through the process of subject selection, early entrance applications to university or TAFE, scholarships and general career pathways. Our staff and students are a highly dedicated group of people aspiring to help our students be the best they can. We take pride in ensuring every student has every chance of success.

The senior school has a range of opportunities for leadership roles such as, College Captains, House Captains, Bus Captains, Student Representative Council year level representatives and executive positions such as, President, Treasurer and Secretary.

We also know how to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our students with final day and Valedictory celebrations that acknowledge our ‘champion’ students and their achievements across the schooling (for the majority the 13 years).
