On Friday the 8th of May our school hosted it’s annual Do It For Dolly Day, supporting the Dolly’s Dream foundation. Dolly’s Dream is a foundation attempting to end bullying in honour of their beloved daughter Dolly Everret who took her life due to severe online bullying she sustained.

Every year we encourage students and staff members to dress up in blue as it’s the organisations colours. This year we also increased activities for the Prep to Year 4 students to complete throughout the week and watched videos around Dolly’s Dream at our school assemblies.

The big draw in for donations to this foundation was our raffle we held. Through the work of Emily, Jorja and Logan they produced an amazing four prize raffle where they were able to make a donation towards the Dolly’s Dream foundation.

We had best dressed in blue awarded a Just Shear cap to Toby who wore blue all the way down to his cowboy boots.

To finish off our fundraising effort we held a gold coin donation BBQ where all donations went to the fundraiser as well!

Special shoutout to Mark Dunstan and Christine Lowe for their $215 donation directly to our school fundraising page, your support is very appreciated.

A massive thank you to all companies and brands that donated to our fundraiser, they were; The Buckin West, Windmill Country, Country Trucker Caps, Just Shear, Bush Mits, Velvet and Bloom Photography, Saputo, Let’s Chat, Country Allure, Dusty Wattle, Coffee On Loddon, Elmore Bakery, Southern Rustic and Oakridge Clothing co. Without your generous donations our raffle wouldn’t have been possible or successful.

Our raffle winners were:

1st Elizabeth Sinclair

2nd Ryder H

3rd Sue Lea

4th Ebony Lawry

This year was a tremendous success and we are eager to go bigger and better again next year to support a cause so close to so many peoples hearts.
