How lucky are we to have so many new staff members to get to know, and learn from!?
This week we welcomed seven pre-service teachers to the College. Guess what? They are all
lovely!
In Science we have Mr Gao and Ms Jiao, working with Ms Warren and Mrs Gladman. In Maths and Business Management we have Mr Wang, working with Mr Bennewith and Mrs Ellis. In Art we have Ms Guo working with Mrs Heaslip. In PE we have Mr O’Neill with Byrnsie and Ms Brookes with Mr Allan. In the Year 3/4 room with Ms Colville is Mr Sawyers. Woah, that’s seven at the same time!
We had question and answer time for Mr Wang
in homeroom the other day and we found out the following.

He was born in Shanghai.

He used to coach soccer and likes to play basketball as well.

He has been in Melbourne for two years after studying an economics degree.

His favourite food is chips. His mum would not let him have junk food and so he used to sneak to get chips when he was a school student in China. We all found this very funny.

Mr Wang is very kind and also very tall.

He has a great sense of humour.
If your child has a student teacher in one of their classes, please have them ask as many questions as they want to learn about them.
Jakob is back… former School Captain, Turkey traveller in 2015 and Prep buddy with Harry (now in Year 11!). Jakob is competing a 10 day placement at the College as part of his teacher training. Great to see you back, Jakob!
